Residents who ship packages to Michigan Housing residence halls may designate another individual to pickup a package on their behalf, also known as a "proxy."
How to Designate a Proxy
Step 1
After you have received notification that your package is available for pickup, go to your Michigan Housing Portal and select the "My Mail and Packages" option.
Step 2
Find the "Designate Proxy for Pickup" section. Then find the package that you would like to have another individual pickup on your behalf. You will see each of your packages available for pickup listed.
Enter the First Name and Last Name of the individual you are designating to pickup your package.
Package pickup proxies are designated for each package. If you have multiple packages you need someone else to pickup, you must enter the name on each package.
Step 3
At the bottom of the page, find the "Save & Return to Home Page" button. You must select this button to have your package proxy's information saved!
Step 4
Your package proxy may now pickup your package(s) on your behalf!
Any individual picking up a package on your behalf must bring photo identification. Michigan Housing will not issue packages to individuals whose name does not match the package proxy you listed for that package.
