The Residence Halls Association (RHA) Sibling's Weekend is a great way for siblings of current residential students to see first hand what it is like to live on campus!!!
The three-day program allows students to stay with their sibling on campus and attend various programs and activities put on by RHA.

What age sibling is the program intended for?
Sibling's Weekend activities and events are designed for siblings between 7 and 14 years of age.
What is the cost?
There is no cost associated with the program. However, anything the siblings may want to do outside of our scheduled events may incur a cost, such as going to the movies, attending a sporting event, etc.
Where do siblings stay?
Siblings stay in their Michigan students residence hall room. It is important that the Michigan student talks with their roommate about their sibling(s) coming to campus and that they discuss a set of expectations that they both agree upon.
What should my sibling bring with them?
Clothing, Toiletries, Sleeping Bag, Pillow, Medications
Where can I park?
There are many metered parking spaces around the West Quadrangle building, as well as near the South Quadrangle building. In addition, there are large public parking structures on campus. The maps at this link may be helpful. You may also park near your residence hall and walk to West Quad.
How can I enter West Quadrangle?
RHA will have volunteers at the Thompson Street door to give you access.
What and where are all the buildings I need to know about in relation to the schedule?
- 541 Thompson St. - West Quadrangle
West Quad is where siblings will meet on Friday night. In the 1st floor Multi-Purpose Room (MPR), they can pick up T-shirts, gift bags, get snow cones, etc. Please bring the signed waiver and payment if not already turned in.
- 600 E Madison St. - South Quad Dining Hall
The biggest residential dining hall on campus, just south of West Quad
- 200 Observatory Street - Mosher-Jordan Dining Hall (MoJo)
The biggest residential dining hall in the Hill Neighborhood
- 1300 E. Ann St. - Couzens Hall
Many events will happen here. This is also the location where the bus will load to take us to Yost Arena. The bus departs at 2:45pm on Saturday.

Sibling's Weekend FAQ:
I wasn’t able to arrive on time to get the T-shirts on Friday. Where can I pick up T-shirts on Saturday or Sunday?
On the 1st floor of West Quad, at the Community Center, from 11:10am-1pm on Saturday, and 11:10am-noon on Sunday. We can also accept payments and take waiver forms at these times.
Some of the agenda items look different from the online form, why is this?
Some events had to be adjusted due to reasons outside of our control. All important updates will be made and available at check-in.
Can we walk to Yost instead of taking the bus?
Can I have more than 1 sibling stay in my room?
