M Housing Policy Changes for 2026-2027
Policy changes and/or clarifications can occur when: (a) federal, state, or local laws/regulations require a change in policy, (b) University policies or ordinances change, or (c) conditions are identified that require adjustments to continue to support an environment where every resident can live, study and build community in their home free from disruptions and distractions.
Minor changes, such as grammar, minor rephrasing not affecting the meaning of a policy, and reordering/relocation of items from one section to another are not listed in this document.
Change 1. Candles and incense not permitted (CLAM)
Recent incidents of fire damage in Michigan Housing have had an adverse impact on the residential community.
